Election Day is November 3, 2026. Candidate filing opens August 5, 2026 for all candidates; closes August 11, 2026 for incumbents; and closes August 18, 2026 for non-incumbents. Individuals must file in-person at Elgin City Hall in order to be approved to circulate signature sheets. The following candidates have been approved to circulate signature sheets for office:
